Financial services was the top FDI sector in the Americas by project number in the first quarter of the year

With 23 FDI projects in Q1, 2017, financial services was the top sector by project number in the Middle East and Africa.

Business services came second with 22 projects, followed by software and IT services with 14.

The alternative/renewable energy sector witnessed 12 projects in the first quarter of the year, while communications had nine projects in the region.
